Harlemite Clip of Day 11/11/2008

I was never a huge fan of DMX when he was in the prime of his career. As I listen to some of his songs now I do appreciate a bit more. I never could get through listening to a whole album straight through. This song I always liked song.

I AM HIP-HOP

This has now become such a cliche phrase in our culture. It's funny to think it was thought hip-hop was not even going to last a decade and now it has become mainstream. It went from just being a "black" thing or something that is "hood" thing to something that you hear in 1 out of 4 commercials on television and is and is play all of posh and chic venues around the world.

What if?.....Monday July 21st, 2008

Hey Everyone.

I hope you had a great weekend and stayed cool in this heat wave. If you have not left your city of residence this summer please make sure you do so. Get out and enjoy places outside your vacinity.I know gas prices are high but make it happen. It's good for the mind to have a bit of change of pace.

Over the weekend I had thought about when I was younger and used to collect comics. There was a series on Marvel Comics called What if?...It would make up hypothetical stories various with Superheroes.

I thought it would be interesting to create a some "What If" situations think about and comment on.

Here you go...

What if the was no internet?

What if there was no Hip-Hop?

What if the Confederates won the Civil War?

What if there was only one religion? Would there still be wars?

What if all drugs were legal?

What if Paligamy was legal worldwide?

What if all professional sports teams were coed?

What if health care was free worldwide?

What if people could really understand each others hardships and cultures?

Post a comment on what you think about these "What If's" and please post any good "What If's" you can think of.
