The Worst Movie I Ever Saw..What is yours?

I don't think I had a worst movie that I have ever seen, but after watching Belly II that has changed. This is the worst movie I have ever watched. The only reason why I watched it was because it is called "Belly 2". I don't even know why it has that title that because it has absolutey no relevance to the first one. I guess becuase it is so bad they had to lure you into seeing this somehow.I am very avid believer about if you can't make a better sequel to a movie, just leave it alone. Let us relish on the greatness of the orginal one. You coud have ad-libed a movie better than how this script was written. I am not one to bash on creativity but there is nothing good that I can say about it. Below are a couple of scenes for you to view.

You let me know what your thoughts on these clips and also please let me know what is the worst movie that you ever saw.

Black, please return the movie to the lady at the Waffle House for some eggs, chicken and 5 waffles. LOL!

They Don't Dance No More...

Why is that nowadays when you go to a club, especially a club that is playing hip-hop, no one really dances no more? Everyone is either on their Blackerry surifng the web, texting someone, profiling or worried about who's poppin' bottles. I remember when you used to go out you used to leave the club sweaty because you danced all night. Dancing was all about going out to a club. People had routines and you used to even practice moves before you went out. Now it seems like you'll be lucky if someone snaps their finger to a beat. Let me digress on this topic. I know in some regions in the US that is not true but for the north east it is. Why is this the case? Are there no more dance related songs? It's not cool? Just not the vibe anymore? Maybe if there was more dancing, less staring at people which could perhaps decrease the amount of beef at clubs. That's just a postulate. Even in music videos you don't see alot of dancers like you used to. I remember when artists had their personal dancers that would be in the videos and go on tour with them. Now it's the one man gang show.LOL!

Here are some videos that pay homage to when dancing was a vivbrant part to hip-hop.

Peace Out!

It's so Cold in the D

A friend of mine showed me this video a few days ago and since then it has come up in my surroundings a few times so I felt this a calling for for me to post this in a blog. Now I fully respect the fact that they are paying homage to their homie who passed away but...
You check it out for yourself...

Besides the homage I don't get the point of the video....This is one the reasons why people have consultants. The hook of the song comes in at times when it is clearly not supposed to. Now, I know a bunch of talented people in the D so I am surprised to see a video come out like this. I am really trying to be nice about this but hey...I guess you won't see Eminem or Royce the 5'9" on the remix for this one.

olympic wrap up

It has been a great 17 days of excitement in Beijing. Over the past couple of weeks my blog posts have been oriented around the Olympic games. I feel it's really great to see people from countries all over the world come together, compete and show great sportsmanship towards one another.

On a global perpective there was one thing that bothered me. I don't why for two and a half weeks why all countries can't stop any type of fighting/wars. Was it necessary for Russia and Georgia to start fighting during the Olympics? When World War II was going on there was a truce during the World Cup. For an event bigger than that, the Olympics, why couldn't the same thing occur?

Okay, that enough of my venting..

Here's a list of some memories of this Olympics.

Exciting moments
-Seeing Yao Ming play an Olympic game in front of his home crowd.
-The Redeem team(USA Men's Basketball team) winning the Gold Medal.
-The Chinese Men's and women's gynastic teams winning the gold.
-Michael Phelps winnng 8 Gold medals.
-Usain Bolt 100m and 200m World records.
-USA Men's Gymnastics winning the bronzr.
-Shawn Johnson and Natasia Lukin winning gold medals in gymnastics.
-Richard Thompson winning the silver 100m for Trinidad and Tobago.

Inspring moments
-Dara Torres winning a medal in swimming a the age of 41.
-Natalie Du Toit of South Africa swimming with one leg.
-33 year old Oksana Chusovitina of Germany competing for a medal in women's gynastica

Sad moments
-Tang Yongming atacking US citizens and killing one of them.
-Liu xiang being hurt and not being able to perform in the 100 meter hurdle in front of his home fans.
-Both US 4x100 meter teams losing.

Question for you answer..

Which feat do you feel was better Usain Bolt's 3 Gold and 3 World Records or Michael Phelps 8 Gold medals and 7 World Records?

A Jamaican Sweep! Big up!

There have been a lot of great accomplishments reached during this Olympics so far. Michael Phelps winning eight gold medals is an amazing feat and has overshadowed alot of great efforts. The Chinese are way ahead of the standings in the amount of Gold Medals (I would put a number but do to the time difference it mat be incorrect). They have even been competitive in sports that they have not been known for such as Swimming and Track and Field. Dara Torres being 41 years of age and beating people that are old enough to be her daughter in swimming heats. There are many more amazing moments but I will save those for another blog (smile).

Today I would like to acknowledge the phenomenal races the Jamaicans have run in track and field. The men and women won the gold medals in both the 100m and 200m. The Jamaican women dominated the 100m races by winning all the medal. AMAZING!

Men's 100m: Usain Bolt (world record)
Men's 200m: Usain Bolt (World record)

Women's 100m:
Gold-Shelly Anne Fraser
Silver(tie) Sherone Simpson, Kerron Stewart

Womens's 200m: Veronica Campbell-Brown

Here are some clips of the races:

Cuban Links Broken from the Olympics in Taekwondo

This was unheard of. I have never seen such action take place in the Olympics ever.

It's sad to see something happen like this. This guy is banned from all international events for life and so is his coach. His coach did not even do anything and can not even coach in the olympics or international matches again.

Post a comment and let me know what you think about this.

I AM HIP-HOP

This has now become such a cliche phrase in our culture. It's funny to think it was thought hip-hop was not even going to last a decade and now it has become mainstream. It went from just being a "black" thing or something that is "hood" thing to something that you hear in 1 out of 4 commercials on television and is and is play all of posh and chic venues around the world.

Spain's Basketball team on Candid Camera, Racism in Spain

I don't know about anyone else but when I saw this photo I was shocked that they would even do something like this. I am not one to go on the race card but I do not buy the excuse that it was done thinking it was cool and harmless. This is a gesture little kids do and that is not even good, but at least they are ignorant to know how offensive it is. What if the Olympics took place in Africa this year what they have taken this picture in black face and thought it was cool? All of those players are well cultured and travelled, so I find it hard to believe that not one person in this photo did not think that this would be offensive. Pau Gasol would not walk up to Yao Ming before a Lakers/Rockets game and do this gesture and think it cool...He would not do it.

I feel this is gotten down played a lot. I have to agree with comment Jason Kidd made. If this was the United States Basketball team that took this photo, this would have been a huge issue. The Olympic Comittee would have stepped in as well as the NBA.

What also surprises more about this is that there have been some many racial incidents Spain during the football (soccer) games. You would think
that they would not want to have any actions signify any notion of negativity.

Here are some clips on Racism in Soccer in Spain

Here is story from ESPN. It is a very good clip. If you dont want to watch the whole thing watch it from 4:50 mark. You will see the coach of Spain talking about Theirry Henry a Black Soccer Player.

Here is Samuel Eto'o talking about the racism is Soccer. He is one one the players in the previous clips that was a victim of this.

Monday August 4th, 2008- Comedian Tribute: Rodney Dangerfield

Hey Everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. I had an interesting weekend. It started by me being in the Emergency Room because I dislocated a finger on my hand. You always have to look on the bright side of things and I can easliy say it could have been worse. Over the weekend I also thought of a new idea that I want to do for my blog which is do some tributes. I want to start by doing a tribute to particular comedians. I thought a great tribute would be to do Rodney Dangerfield. He was a well know comedian but I feel he is not mentioned the elite list of comedians. He definitely knew how to move a room of people into a burst of laughs. Here is a tribute on Rodney Dangerfield

Here is a good interview with him

Here are some classic movie clips of him
