For those of you who may not know he told his own player, tight end Vernon Davis, to leave the field after getting penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct in yesterday's game. So in part of the interview that is who he is referring to.

If you think he put some fear in the players after doing what he did to Vernon Davis yesterday, you can imagine that he put fear in some of the press people to not ask him any dumb questions.

The following clip is extremely disturbing but not surprising. I really have not wanted to post too much on the election but this had to be a topic of conversation.
There has been numerous instances of this type of behavior going on and it has been downplayed. If the rolls were reversed and there were Blacks at an Obama event sreaming perjoratives about white people it would be all over the media. Even if Minister Loius Farakkhan were to cttend an Obama rally it would be a huge issue. All the folks in the media, play it fair on both sides...

Since this is a blog, I figured why not talk about blogs today. I know everyone and their mother writes one (yes, that includes me). Hey, it's the freedom of speech in cyber space. I honestly can't say that I have read a ton of them but there are a lot of intresting ones out there.

I know there have been some resistance from journalists with blogs since people are making a living off writing them and having no sort of journalism trainning or experience. It is ironic that a lot of journalists have their own blogs.

It is interesting to see how media outlets have evolved through growth of technology.


I enjoy blogging because it is unconventional. You can talk about whatever you want and can use text, audio and visual outlets to do so. I feel that makes things very interesting and refreshing rather than reading black and white print all of the time.

Relationships 105:Getting back with the Ex

Hey Everyone.

I have been having some interesting conversations with people which inspired me to write this blog. It seems like many people have been going through this phase.

Summer is over. The temperature's dropping and the holidays are coming up soon. This is the prime time to people to try and get back together with their Ex's. Most people don't like to be alone during those cold months so that they have someone to hibernate with. An Ex is a usually a confortable situation for this since you are used to one another.

I feel you should not get back with an Ex just because you are lonely. If there is genuine love there and it is something that is authentically coming from the heart then perhaps go for it. If it is because you are alone and you want your partner for emotional convenience or a sex buddy, I would not go back to that person for those reasons . You both probably have things to work on and it would be better off to do so if you are not together. If it is a sex buddy you are looking for, you can obtain that elswhere if you are upfront with the person. Most people don't want to be alone and of course, most of like sex; so I am confident you can find that.

Going back into a cycle of a relationship that has been working is not healthy. There needs to be a lot of introspection done. Look to see what you have been doing and things that you may have done better. It is always common to blame you partner for everyhing that is going on. Perhaps you are the source of what is not making this work and not your partner.

I don't believe in living past in your life, but I do feel you may want to look at some of your past relationships. If there are similar patterns that arise then clearly there is something going on with you and you must work on that.

A lot of people get attached to a situation so you don't know how to let it go since you have been with the person and have invested a lot of time and emotions into it.

After doing introspection you must have a open conversation with your Ex and really see where this can really go. Chage does not happen in a day. It takes time just like evolution. In this conversation be a good listener. Really take in what you partner has to say. Nine times out of ten if you listen properly you can make a smart descion on how to move forward. We are so caught up in getting our point across at times that we don't really listen to other person.

It's not about who is right and who is wrong it is about both parties committed to creating a healthy, beatuiful relationship for one another.

Last but not least, you must be in a good place with yourself in order to be with someone else. That is why being alone can be good at times because you can take the time to work on yourself. It is important to be happy with yourself before being with someone. Do not go into a situation thinking Mr. or Ms. Right can fix everyhing. That's WRONG! You can only fix yourself. No one else can fix you!

Alas, The Pennant Race is Here-MLB Playoffs Harlemite's Predictions

Well folks, October is here which means the World Series is knocking on the door. We have some of baseball's more nostalgic teams that made the playoffs like the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. Also, we have sleepers in the Tampa Bay Ray and Milwaukee Brewers. Unfortunately, we do not see the New York Yankees nor Mets in this equation. There are two Chicago teams and well as two Los Angeles teams though.

We have intriging matchups in both leagues.


American League
Boston Red Sox vs.Los Angeles Angels
Chicago White Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays


National League
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Chicago Cubs
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Here are my predictions:
American League Red Sox/Angels
This series is going to be a good one. I feel the Angels are the best team in the playoffs with their balance of great pitching and offense. The Red Sox usually have their number in the this matchup but this year I feel the Angels will get over that hump and win this series in 5 games.



White Sox vs. Tampa bay

This is a tough one. The White Sox have a good team and playoff experience which is a key factor. Tampa Bay have been tough all year and are a scrappy team especially when playing at their home turf, Tropicana Field. Carl Crawford is coming back to the line up for the Rays, which is good, but I feel the White Sox will win in 5 games.




ALCS
Angels vs.White Sox
I think the gas runs out on Chicago here and Angels will win 6 games to capture the AL pennant.




National League

Philles vs. Brewers

honestly this series is the easiest one for me to pick. The Philles got a taste of being in the playoffs, and now want to go further. The Brewers buck stops here. They dont have the pitiching to go far and their hitting has been inconsistant. The Phillies win in 4 games. I will also say this, if CC Sebastia doesn't win game two, it will be a sweep.


Cubs vs. Dodgers
This is such a tough one with two good teams. On paper, the Cubs should easily win this one but there is something say with the magic of Joe Torre's managerial magic and expertise, added with the dugout presence and playoff experience of Manny Ramirez could beat the Cubs. I would love to see both of these teams advance but I will have the give the edge to the Cubs winning in 5 games.



NLCS
Phillies vs. Cubs
Both teams are thirsty for the pennant and have good pitching but I think it's the Cubs year. They win in 6 games.


World Series
Cubs vs. Angels

Good match up of two solid teams. The Angels depth will make them become the 2008 World Series Champs in six games...Sorry Cubbie fans.
